Mr Buxton’s studies were in the Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. From these studies he published a paper titled "Amphidromic Movement and Tidal Distortion in the English Channel". After a period of research at Lancaster University, where he worked on improving the performance of weather radar (UK), he moved into the field of operational meteorology, in which he has worked for 20 years in the UK, Bermuda and in Europe. Mr Buxton joined the Edanz Group as an editor in 2012.
